Just like in boxing, ring girls have become a part of the sporting tradition in MMA.
These wonderful women have successful careers outside of their ging girl commitments. Many of them are global stars and international models.
The duties of a ring girl during the event itself are quite simple. In between fighter rounds, ringcard girls will will lift a card above their heads and walk around the Octagon. The card will have the number of the next round on it.
Working for the UFC provides these ladies with another opportunity to expand their fanbase and it also helps the UFC to add some elegance and flair to their events. It’s a win-win for all, not least the MMA fans attending UFC events!

Britney Palmer
Britney Palmer is an American model and UFC ring girl.
She has previously appeared in Playboy, making her the 3rd UFC card ring girl to work with the Playboy brand. In 2012, she won the award for ‘UFC ring girl of the year’.
Brookliyn Wren
Brookliyn Wren is an Alaska born model who currently lives in Las Vegas. She started working with the UFC as a card ring girl in 2017.
She used to compete in beauty pageants in Alaska, untl at 14 years of age she was invited to New York to work as a model.
Since then, Wren has worked in calendar shoots, fashion shows and for the UFC. She regularly updates her instagram page with photoshoots from all over Vegas, where she shows her big personality through her post captions.
Red Dela Cruz
Red Dela Cruz was raised in Iba, the capital of the Philippines’ Zambales province. She then studied tourism management in Manila and took up a job part-time as a model.
The UFC held auditions for the first UFC Asia fight card search in 2015, and Red Dela Cruz was chosen from thousands of applicants. “I was shocked but thrilled” Red said.
She won ring girl of the year at the Asian MMA Awards in 2018 and she uses her huge social following (over 2.5 million) to promote positivity and self-confidence.
Kristie Pearson
Kristie Pearson is an Australian ring girl and model. She has a degree in Design & Communications, but started modelling at the age of 17.
This modelling career lead her to start working at Cage Fighting Championship before getting poached by the UFC.
Kristie met her husband, and former UFC fighter, Ross Pearson while working on ‘The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes’. The two now live in Australia where Kristie enjoys surfing and biking.
Arriany Celeste
Arianny Celeste is an American ring girl, born in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is originally of Mexican / Filipino descent but spent her life in Vegas, majoring in fitness management and nutrition at The University Of Nevada, Las Vegas.
She has previously starred in Playboy magazine, and was a co-host on the TV show Overhaulin’.
She is however, most known for her career as a ring girl for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. She is a veteran at the UFC, having worked for the promotion since 2006. She won the World MMA Award of Ringcard Girl Of The Year EVERY year from 2008 – 2015.
She also loves to give to charity, and raised money along with female MMA athletes to auction off their sports bras on Ebay, to raise money for breast cancer awareness.
Chrissy Blaire
Chrissy Blair is a Florida model who is co-founder of the protein bar, Kalumi.
She holds a degree in Graphic Design & Fine Art and a background in marketing.
Along with this, she has also appeared on screen in ‘FML’ and ‘Sh*tty Dates’.
She used to be a ringcard girl for Strikeforce, before moving over to the UFC with Vanessa Hanson in 2013.
Jamillette Gaxiola
Jamillette Gaxiola is a Mexican / Cuban model who represented Cuba in the 2009 Miss World Pageant. Not a bad accolade to have as a model.
She attended a community college in Las Vegas and appeared as a contestant on the reality TV show ‘The Shores’.
She has spent her entire life in beauty pageants, starting from the age of 3! She also works as a UFC ringcard girl.
Vanessa Hanson
Vanessa Hanson is a California girl who owns her own Yoga studio, Olive Yoga in South Beach.
She is originally of Mexican / European descent. She was scouted by a modelling agent while at college, and she promptly moves to Los Angeles to pursue a modelling career full-time.
It was at the US Open of surfing that she won a contest to become a UFC Octagon girl.
She’s appeared in many major modelling magazines, such as GQ & Maxim.
Hanson left the UFC and had a brief stint at Strikeforce. However, in 2013, she moved back to the UFC wher eshe has been ever since.
Jhenny Andrade
Jhenny Andrade is a Brazilian model, singer and TV presenter.
She grew up in Ribeirão Preto, before moving to Sao Paulo at the age of 18.
She has won ringcard girl of the year 3 times and has been named in FHM’s top 100 sexiest women on the planet for 6 years in a row!
Jhenny had to step away from her duties as an Octagon ringcard girl (where she had worked since 2013), after she announced her pregnancy to husband Caio Novaes.
Ashley Piccone
Ashley Piccone has been a ringcard girl for the UFC since 2015, making her debut with the promotion at UFC on Fox 15.
She was previously with Cage Fury Fighting Championship before moving to the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Carly Baker
Carly Baker is a model, TV presenter, singer and actor from the United Kingdom.
She has starred in Mortal Kombat and in a Coral TV advert. She began modelling at the age of 14 and this lead her to represent Wimbledon in a Miss Great Britain content.
On top of this, she is also a professional dancer, and has appeared in the ITV show ‘Dirty Dancing Time Of Your Life’
Camila Oliveira
Camila Oliveira was the first ever Brazilian Octagon ring girl, joining the UFC in 2013.
It’s been remoured that Camila is dating UFC fighter Claudia Gadelha after regularly uploading selfies together online and even referred to Claudia as her ‘love’.
Rachelle Leah
Rachelle Leah is a professional model and TV personality who was raised in California.
She began modelling in a professional capacity when she was 18 years old, when she worked for the Ford Motor Company.
It only took a year before the UFC saw her photoshoots and asked her to join them as a ringcard girl.
She put a pause on her ringcard duties while she hosted UFC All Access . However, the Playboy cover girl returned to her Octagon duties in 2010.
Holly Madison
Holly Madison, is a model, showgirl, TV personality, a best-selling author and a UFC ring girl.
She was most famous for her appearances in the E! network show ‘The Girls Next Door’ and for her Playboy photoshoots.
She joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship for UFC 100 with Dana White saying ““Not only is Holly one of the world’s most beautiful women, but she is a huge fan and supporter of the UFC, and we’re looking forward to having her with us on July 11th.”
Edith Labelle
Edith Labelle is a Canadian model who also worked at UFC events as an Octago ring girl.
She was unceromoniously let go from the UFC after UFC 100. Rumour has it that she got food poisoning the night before a UFC event and so she could not work at the event the next day.
However, UFC officials clearly assumed that she had got too drunk the night before and fired her for not turning up to the fight card.
Edith hasn’t totally parted ways with MMA however. She has released a series of ‘how to’ grappling videos, if you want to see more of her.
Amber Miller
Amber Miller is an American model and TV personality from Colorado.
She is also the girlfriend of former UFC champion, Tito Ortiz.
Miller first started out modelling for MGM resorts. This opportunity opened up doors to her and she quickly gained features in magazines such as Maxim, and later as a UFC ringcard girl.
She is also known for her outspoken personality and has appeared in the TV show ‘WAGS LA’.
