Dana White & several top UFC stars have penned letters of support for Cain Velasquez, who is currently facing charges of first-degree attempted murder.
Cain Velasquez hit the headlines recently after he allegedly shot at a man who sexually assaulted his relative.
The former UFC Heavyweight Champion allegedly shot at Harry Eugene, the man accused of molesting children. While Harry escaped physically un-harmed, his stepfather, who was with him at the time, was shot and sustained non-life threatening injuries.
He is currently sitting in Santa Clara County jail. If convicted, Velasquez faces a minimum of 15 years in prison.
Since the news came out that Velasquez was being detained for the incident, the MMA community have come out in full support for him.
As you can see from Sean Strickland’s tweet above, the reason for Cain’s support is that he was defending a loved one who was assaulted.
