Jeremy ‘Lil Heathen’ Stephens leaves the UFC after 14 years

Jeremy Stephens & the UFC have decided not to renew the Lil Heathen’s fighting contract. Instead, Stephens, who McGregor famously otherwise called “who the f*ck is that guy“, will take his talent for violence to the PFL, a rival MMA promotion to the UFC.

Stephens, who has 34 fights in the UFC, was winless in his last 6 fights in the UFC. So it’s not overly surprising that he was cut from the promotion. However, since his recent losses have come from top competition; Jose Aldo, Calvin Kattar, Magomedsharipov, Yair Rodriguez, his days delivering entertainment to fight fans around the globe are far from over.

Stephens has notched wins against notable competitors such as; former UFC champion Rafael Dos Anjos, former BW champion Renan Barao, Josh Emmett, Gilbert Melendez & Doo Ho Choi.

His MMA career has also seen him share the Octagon with an insane number of well-known elite competitors; Max Holloway, Calvin Kattar, Frankie Edgar, Jose Aldo, Renan Barao, Yair Rodriguez, Zabit, Charles Oliviera, Cub Swanson, Donald Cerrone, Yves Edwards, Melvin Guillard, Joe Lauzon & Rafael Dos Anjos

In the 14 years that Jeremy Stephens has spent with the UFC, he has given us so many immortalised fights to enjoy, and his highlight reel is one of the best around.

While it’s sad to say goodbye to another UFC veteran, at least we can still enjoy watching him bring the chaos to his opponents in PFL.
