One measure sits in Brave CF’s favor. In August 2022, at Brave CF 61 in Bonn, Germany, the promotion passed the UFC as the most-traveled organization in MMA history, having reached 28 host countries at that point, according to Gulf Insider. It has since extended that record to 38 nations. Brave CF needed roughly 2,144 days to hit that mark, while the UFC had taken about 9,452 days to host events in 27 countries.

History and global reach
Brave 1 ran in Bahrain on the founder’s birthday in September 2016. Expansion came quickly. Inside its first full year, Brave CF had staged cards in Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, India, Kazakhstan and Mexico.
In 2018, Brave 14 in Tangier made Brave CF the first global MMA promotion to hold an event in Africa, staged under the patronage of King Mohammed VI of Morocco. The promotion has also hosted the IMMAF World Championships, the leading amateur MMA tournament, in Bahrain across several years.
The promotion reached its 100th event in November 2025, returning to Isa Town, Bahrain, for the occasion. Its schedule then carried into 2026 with cards in Serbia, Kazakhstan, Slovenia and other host nations.
Notable fighters who came through Brave CF
Part of what defines Brave CF is its place at an early stage of some notable careers. The clearest example is Khamzat Chimaev. Before he became UFC middleweight champion, Chimaev fought four times in Brave CF between 2018 and 2019, finishing his first three bouts in under three minutes each. He has credited the promotion with launching him onto the international stage.
Others took similar routes. Flyweight Muhammad Mokaev built an undefeated record in Brave CF before signing with the UFC, and Amir Albazi also passed through the Bahraini promotion on his way to the UFC’s flyweight rankings. Stephen Loman moved from Brave CF to ONE Championship. The pattern is common enough that Brave CF is often described as a proving ground for fighters aiming at the sport’s biggest organizations.
